Indian diaspora is India's most exported product

We call it desi excellence, the world quietly calls it influence.

But let us not over romanticise it. Bahut saara migration glamour nahi, majboori hai. Nurses, drivers, labourers in the Gulf holding entire families up on thake hue kandhe. That 137 billion number is built on quiet sacrifice, not just startup IPOs and shiny H1B wins.

And the same India that locked in a 5 billion dollar UAE deal clearly knows the diaspora is muscle, not charity. Yeh log wallet se bhi vote karte hain aur awaaz se bhi. Investment, tech, advocacy, soft power, sab kuch inke through hi aata hai. The report says it plainly for anyone willing to read.

The USCIS hold that has 39 countries sweating

Now the ugly part. USCIS dropped memos in December 2025 and January 2026 freezing pending immigration requests from nationals of 39 countries. Lakhs of immigrants are stuck in limbo overnight. The green card sapna just picked up a fat asterisk, and Indian applicants are right in the blast radius.
